In June Sarah and I took a trip to Sedona, AZ to get a little sunshine, do some hiking and that sort of thing. We had a great time. We visited the Grand Canyon, did some horseback riding, went on a couple hikes, rented a Jeep, and saw some pretty cool places.
In July we took the annual trip to Orcas Island, WA which was right on par with expectations. We had some beautiful weather and had the chance to enjoy the trip with a few of our closest friends. Among the highlights was a ton of wildlife including up close encounters with deer, sea otters, killer whales and a bald eagle flying right next to my Jeep about 20 feet away! I looked him right eye!
These two photos are from our latest trip to beautiful Spokane, WA. We took a long weekend to go over and celebrate my best friend's wedding. Colin and I have been friends since we got to Redlands in 2002 but became close during our last year there. We played football together from 2002 to 2005 and were roommates our last year of school. The wedding was great and it was good to see everyone. Once again, it's been too long. The day before the wedding I was lucky enough to steal Colin away and take him on his last fishing trip before he gets married.....which may coincidentally be his last fishing trip ever.... We'll see.
Aside from our trips Sarah and I have been busy. Sarah started her new job at Amazon.com where she works with the Kindle team. (go buy one if you don't have one, go online if you don't know what it is) I am down to my last half a year in my masters program and can't wait to finish. As of May I have been working as personal trainer/ strength and conditioning coach at a small gym in Bellevue and have been really enjoying it.
